InterMoor Inc., a leading provider of mooring services, foundation solutions and offshore installations in subsea services group Acteon, has named Martin Kobiela as their new president.

Kobiela replaces Tom Fulton, who takes over the new global role of chief technology officer for InterMoor. These two appointments follow upon the nomination of new global chief executive officer Mark Jones, at the end of last year as part of the global strategy of delivering consistent services around the world and building greater technical collaboration amongst its international business entities and clients.

Kobiela, previously regional president for InterMoor Asia Pacific (APAC), had the overall responsibility for developing and managing InterMoor’s business in Asia. In the past 6 years, he led the rapid expansion of the business across the region, as well as the successful regional integration of a competitor’s acquisition. A chartered engineer, Kobiela has over twenty years’ experience in the marine and oil and gas industries.

A registered professional engineer (P.E.), Fulton has been extensively involved with research, development and implementation of new mooring technology over his thirty years’ career. As president of the U.S. entity, he has been leading InterMoor into digitalization by applying new technologies to their mooring integrity solutions offering and by spearheading the development of their new acoustic release mooring connector, Inter-M Release, which was unveiled earlier this year.

Mark Jones, global CEO, InterMoor, said:

“These two appointments reflect InterMoor’s strong intention to grow by capitalizing on its knowledge base. They will play a leading role in reinforcing our position as a global leader, as we keep developing the right solutions to meet the evolving requirements of our clients, especially relating to data capture, mooring asset integrity and innovative customer interfaces.”
