Offshore Rigger (Morgan City, Louisiana)

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Put safety first. Begin each task and job duty with safety first in mind
• Work offshore on anchor handling boats and other types of vessels
• Become aware of conditions and objects on deck of vessel before starting work, and at all times, to remain safe
• Travel to work at various locations such as Gulf of Mexico, Venezuela, West Africa, Brazil and other overseas locations
• Work onshore at Fourchon dock or Morgan City yard
• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks and sheaves, according to weight and size of load to be moved
• Assemble and attach rigging to objects to be lifted by crane or other lifting/hoisting devices
• Be aware of weather conditions and recognize hazards prior to any rigging or lift
• Check and inspect slings, mooring ropes, lifting devices and equipment and materials associated with rigging for serviceability, safety and functionality
• Give hand signals to the equipment operator while engaged in hoisting and moving objects in a manner that ensures the safety of workers, equipment and materials
• Carefully establish safe walking paths at all times. Watch placement of feet when walking at all times to avoid slips, trips and falls

Job Requirements:
• Provide copy of current TWIC card
• Prefer copy of current water survival certification (BOSIET or T-HUET)
• Prefer copy of current API Rigging certification
• Prefer copy of current SafeGulf or RigPass
• Minimum of one year recent offshore rigging experience
• Successful completion of physical, drug screen, functional capacity evaluation (FCE), and background check
• Successful completion of offshore rigging written exam
• Ability to obtain passport.  Current passport is preferred.
• Be available with short notice for mobilization to projects
• Work offshore for various durations

Senior Structural Engineer (SrStrEngABD)

Due to continued expansion, InterMoor Ltd are currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer to work in our office in Aberdeen.  The role reports to the Engineering Manager and will be required to contribute to the safe, efficient and cost-effective planning and execution of InterMoor’s undertakings by way of leading engineering design, analysis and offshore support.

Dimensions of the Job

List of Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and enhance InterMoor’s structural engineering capability
  • Identify and pursue opportunities in collaboration with the Business Development Manager
  • Lead response to relevant work requests
  • Assist in the preparation of company response to Invitations to Tender
  • Guide and mentor the engineering team
  • Ensure quality of structural work and deliverables
  • Review and approve structural analyses and deliverables
  • Support InterMoor Marine Warranty Services as necessary
  • Provide technical advice in response to internal/external queries related to structural design
  • Attend offshore operations, seafastening/load-out meetings etc as required

 

Core Competencies

  • Degree (2.1) in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in structural design
  • In depth knowledge of industry codes and standards on structural design
  • Project management experience including tendering, financial, scheduling & creating deliverables
  • Experience in leading a team and guiding the team members
  • Competent in creating and reviewing structural analysis models
  • Experience in a structural analysis software (preferably Strand7)

Senior Project Engineer - Decommissioning (SrProjEngrDecom)

Due to continued expansion, InterMoor Ltd are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer to work within our Decommissioning department in our head office in Aberdeen.  The role reports to the Decommissioning Lead and will be required to execute projects and to provide technical input in relation to the discipline area with dedicated project team whilst being adaptable, flexible and able to perform different functions in several areas, working within a dedicated project team.

Dimensions of the Job

List of Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Assist project QHSE advisor to ensure:
    • hazards and risks associated with equipment and operational practices are assessed
    • effective control measures are implemented to minimise potentially harmful situations
    • Safety Management Plans and appropriate Risk Assessments are carried out at appropriate phases of operational projects
    • Identification and quantification of the key risk(s) and reducing the overall risk to as low as reasonably practical (ALARP) following industry best practice
  • Actively participate in HIRAs
  • Assist QHSE team with, HSE submissions, MATS, SATS & PETS and MCAA licence applications
  • Ensure accidents, incidents and near misses are reported
  • Assist with Tender preparation
  • Produce well abandonment and other technical project specific procedures
  • Calculate chemical volumes for well abandonment operations and BEIS submissions
  • Produce mobilisation and de-mobilisation plans
  • Identify and procure project equipment, materials and chemicals
  • Produce scopes of work for sub-contractors
  • Report on progress of sub-contractors to the Project Manager
  • Attend and manage mobilisations/de-mobilisations as required
  • Produce deck layout drawings, pre and post abandonment well schematics with the draughting department
  • Complete Daily Progress Report (DPR)
  • Oversee operations on deck and report to Intervention Superintendent

Core Competencies

  • Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline however; demonstrable relevant industry experience will also be considered
  • Offshore survival and medical certificates
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Engineer within subsea construction, renewable or decommissioning sectors including relevant offshore experience

• Assist Engineering Manager in developing and enhancing the capability of the engineering team
• Lead response to tenders and work requests
• Ensure quality of work and deliverables
• Identify skill gaps within the engineering team and take proactive measures to fill the gaps
• Keep abreast of the latest developments in industry codes and standards on mooring systems design
• Provide technical advice in response to internal/external queries related to mooring systems design
• Interface with clients, vendors and third-party contractors as required
• Review and approve engineering analyses and deliverables
• Undertake quality assurance activities and lead efforts to improving the existing system
• Attend client meetings, inspections, tests etc as required

Core Competencies

• Degree (2.1) in Engineering or Naval Architecture
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry
• A good understanding of offshore operations, primarily related to mooring systems installation
• In depth knowledge of industry codes and standards on mooring systems design
• Project management experience including tendering, financial, scheduling & creating deliverables
• Experience in leading a team and guiding the team members
• Competent in creating and reviewing Orcaflex models on moorings/risers/subsea installation
• Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to travel internationally
• Experience in offshore installation projects preferred
• Experience in a mooring analysis software
• Experience in marine warranty services preferred
• Experience in structural analysis, hydrodynamics and naval architecture preferred

Invoice Co-ordinator (InvCoordUK)

Due to increased growth InterMoor Ltd are recruiting for an Invoice Co-ordinator to work at our company headquarters in the north of Aberdeen.  Working within our small but busy invoicing department the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all InterMoor invoicing is processed and completed with accuracy and in a timely manner.

Dimensions of the Job

List of Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Generate monthly rental invoices and rebates
  • Review existing hire jobs prior to month-end billing against contracts/price list and quotes
  • Ensure all Purchase Orders have been received for works prior to billing and that purchase order values are not exceeded
  • Run monthly invoice reports and issue to Clients
  • Manage customer queries with regards to invoices and raise appropriate credits whenever necessary
  • Collate all costs and back-up involved in jobs and issue subsequent billing to customers
  • Liaise with suppliers to receive required costs in timely manner
  • Assist Accounts Department with ad hoc duties as required
  • Cover other office duties where applicable

 

Core Competencies

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Good standard of general education
  • Relevant accounting/invoicing experience in similar/other industry
  • Good planning, prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Experience with Navision is preferred but not essential
  • Effective/competent MS Office Suite User
  • Good  level of communication skills in both written and verbal
