Offshore Rigger (Morgan City, Louisiana)

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Put safety first. Begin each task and job duty with safety first in mind
• Work offshore on anchor handling boats and other types of vessels
• Become aware of conditions and objects on deck of vessel before starting work, and at all times, to remain safe
• Travel to work at various locations such as Gulf of Mexico, Venezuela, West Africa, Brazil and other overseas locations
• Work onshore at Fourchon dock or Morgan City yard
• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks and sheaves, according to weight and size of load to be moved
• Assemble and attach rigging to objects to be lifted by crane or other lifting/hoisting devices
• Be aware of weather conditions and recognize hazards prior to any rigging or lift
• Check and inspect slings, mooring ropes, lifting devices and equipment and materials associated with rigging for serviceability, safety and functionality
• Give hand signals to the equipment operator while engaged in hoisting and moving objects in a manner that ensures the safety of workers, equipment and materials
• Carefully establish safe walking paths at all times. Watch placement of feet when walking at all times to avoid slips, trips and falls

Job Requirements:
• Provide copy of current TWIC card
• Prefer copy of current water survival certification (BOSIET or T-HUET)
• Prefer copy of current API Rigging certification
• Prefer copy of current SafeGulf or RigPass
• Minimum of one year recent offshore rigging experience
• Successful completion of physical, drug screen, functional capacity evaluation (FCE), and background check
• Successful completion of offshore rigging written exam
• Ability to obtain passport.  Current passport is preferred.
• Be available with short notice for mobilization to projects
• Work offshore for various durations

Survey and Positioning Manager (SPM-ABD)

Dimensions of the Job

List of Duties will include but are not limited to:

General

  • Provide effective leadership of the Survey Function in accordance with the company’s values, goals and objectives
  • Promote and adhere to the values of management responsibility and visible leadership

  • Serve as lead facilitator both internally and externally for Survey and positioning projects

  • Provide Leadership, Guidance, Support and Encouragement to their Supervisors and Team Leaders in discharging their Operational, QHSE and Support Services Responsibilities
  • Perform Reviews, Inspections and Audits in accordance with the InterMoor Annual QHSE development Plan
  • Promote Team Leader and Supervisor, Leadership and Responsibility for all Operational, QHSE and Support Services Matters
  • Provide the opportunity and platform for clear and concise communication within their team for all Operational, QHSE and Support Services

Technical

  • Develop and maintain the department Competence Assurance System
  • Engage and communicate with senior management and ensure they understand current and possible future operational activities
  • Ensure maintenance of effective client interfaces
  • Quality assure work completed by the survey and positioning department ensuring compliance and alignment to all Company policies and procedures and industry standards
  • Act as the Company’s Chief Surveyor thereby being accountable for all technical procedures and principles
  • Responsible for identifying and recommending and developing the most appropriate specialist software and hardware
  • Defining and executing development plans to ensure the survey and positioning department is at the forefront of relevant technology

Financial

  • Provide accurate input for monthly forecasting and financial reporting
  • Liaise directly with Clients and with the Finance Controller to ensure all technical queries on sales invoices are resolved efficiently and credit terms are observed
  • Ensure effective utilisation of ERP system (NAVISION)
  • Provision of input for monthly forecasting and financial reporting
  • Assist in developing and delivering budgets and business plans
  • Understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance e.g. gross margin percentages and calculations, depreciation, capital and revenue expenditure, cash-flow, overheads etc.

Business Development and Acquisition

  • Establish and maintain an extensive network of contacts, promote the business and maintain a high profile
  • Increase the company’s involvement with existing clients ensuring penetration at appropriate levels
  • Liaise closely with the MD, BD and Commercial Managers to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Provide expertise on technical and commercial issues to ensure maximum possible conversion ratio from quotes to orders
  • As required provide input / support to tendering and business development activities
  • Develop and make presentations as necessary, both internally and externally
  • Report and discuss with the Commercial Manager any competitor activity which may detract from InterMoor achieving its objectives

Core Competencies

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Degree (Hons) in Surveying or Electronic Engineering
  • Offshore Survival Training & Necessary Medicals are desirable but not essential
  • Substantial survey experience
  • Senior Manager with survey experience in O&G Marine or other process-related industry
  • Personnel management experience with both onshore and offshore staff
  • Experienced in managing multiple faced paced projects
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Effective/competent MS Office Suite User
  • High level of communication skills in both written and verbal

Marine Consultant (MarConUK)

Due to increased and rapid growth, InterMoor Ltd are recruiting for a Marine Consultant to work at our company headquarters in the north of Aberdeen.  Working within our busy and dynamic Marine department the successful candidate will be responsible for project managing marine operations for rig moves of semi-submersible and jack up units, and render marine consultancy service and marine assurance on behalf of Clients.  The successful candidate will also be required to attend offshore operations on behalf of InterMoor, acting in the capacity of Marine Specialist, Marine Representative or Towmaster during rig move and offshore marine operations

 

Dimensions of the Job

List of Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Acting as contract holder/focal point for assigned clients, and managing the contract under its terms
  • Liaising with the clients on a daily basis and updating project status
  • Prepare quotes and costs for clients based on contract rates as applicable
  • Prepare operation specific procedures, risk assessments and any other marine jobs within their competency for the Clients, according to the industry standards, unit specifications and Client instructions
  • Attend rig move meetings with the Clients and update rig move procedures as required
  • Brief vessels, the Marine Representative, the Towmaster or the Marine Superintendent on the operation specific procedure where and when applicable
  • Keep daily update on the status of each ongoing rig move under their control
  • Check and assess the reports after completion of the offshore operation and approve the final report for publishing and distribution to the Client
  • Plan rig moving services according to InterMoor general practice
  • Attend offshore operations as Marine Representative, Marine Specialist or Towmaster
  • Perform accident/incident investigation onboard offshore vessels, as requested by the client
  • Perform Common Marine Inspections, Team Marine, Guard Vessel audits and ERRV Validation Trials or other audits as requested by the Client
  • Participate in the ‘On Call’ rota during out-of-office hours and holidays
  • Ensure effective financial controls and management are in place to achieve cost saving, profit and cash targets and to meet corporate and legal requirements
  • Accurately track and reconcile project equipment and resources
  • Ensure delivery of operational plans according to contractual requirements and customer requirements and expectations. Conduct regular reviews of operations, monitor utilisation and take action to ensure targets are met. Submit accurate and timely reports to line manager
  • Drive operational efficiency, assurance improvements and best practice across the operational team(s) in conjunction with planning for the effective management of risks

 

Core Competencies

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Certificate of competency as Master Mariner
  • Chief Officer certificate of competence or OIM qualified or Barge Engineer with rig moving history
  • Offshore Survival Training & relevant Medical Certificates
  • Tow master experience with jack-ups and semi-submersibles
  • Substantial Marine experience
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Experienced in managing multiple fast paced projects
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Effective/competent MS Office Suite User
  • High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format

  • Develop and enhance InterMoor’s structural engineering capability
  • Identify and pursue opportunities in collaboration with the Business Development Manager
  • Lead response to relevant work requests

Core Competencies

  • Degree (2.1) in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in structural design
  • In depth knowledge of industry codes and standards on structural design
  • Project management experience including tendering, financial, scheduling & creating deliverables
  • Experience in leading a team and guiding the team members
  • Competent in creating and reviewing structural analysis models
  • Experience in a structural analysis software (preferably Strand7)

Senior Accountant - Australia (SrAcct)

InterMoor is seeking a highly skilled and communicative Senior Accountant to join the Australia Team. Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager based in Singapore and supporting the Australia Country Manager, this is a challenging opportunity that requires strong communication and technical skills.

Whilst the role is focused primarily on the Australia business, it is essential that the Senior Accountant has the cross-cultural knowledge to complement their communication skills to work effectively across the Asia Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial
• Timely, accurate reporting of monthly financial reports including passing journals, closing ledgers, P&L, CFC, tax, projects revenue/costs and forecasting
• Completing activities such as variance analysis, best guess data, Business Activity Statements (BAS), tax reporting, data returns for insurance renewals, annual Statutory Accounts Template and other year end reports, reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts, cash flow forecasts and funding requests
• Driving the annual budgeting process including detailed variance analysis and chart feeder spreadsheets
• Collation and provision of appropriate information to payroll administrators
• Financial analysis of projects, department and market sectors
• Supporting other Group companies with appropriate accounting support

Strategic Support
• Review of ongoing projects with key stakeholders
• Support Senior Management Team in financial decisions
• Preparation and maintenance of finance procedures manual
• Implementation and utilisation of ERP system in conjunction with others in the Management Team, including user training

Business Development and Acquisition
• Review and develop reliable budgetary forecasts
• Provide input / support to tendering and business development activities
• Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisers
• Ensuring procedures are in place for credit control and the monitoring and collection of debtor balances
• Drive ongoing improvement initiatives
• Design and implement appropriate controls in accordance with recognised accounting standards

General
• Encourage Assistant Accountant to conduct all activities in line with InterMoor's core values
• Provide financial support within InterMoor as required
• Responsible for departmental budget targets and limits
• Liaise closely with Regional FC and Country Manager on all relevant financial issues
• Maintain awareness of, and control exposure to, all technical and commercial risk
• Preparation/review of bi-monthly payroll and monthly payroll tax filing
• Work closely, collaboratively and openly with stakeholders in order to achieve high quality work in line with InterMoor standards
• HSSEQ compliance following all policies and procedures
• Conduct all activities in accordance with the Company’s Policies and Procedures.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Degree qualification in Accounting or related study is essential
• Member of a recognized professional Accountancy body is essential (CPA or CA)
• Experience with accounting systems e.g. Navision
• Good understanding of reporting requirements for parent companies
• Knowledgeable on current accounting standards and practices
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a senior role within Finance
• Supervisory experience
• Good attention to detail and self-starter
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
